| Customer Reviews: Fisher Price Loving Family Laundry Room June 16, 2010 Patricia Treat (Philadelphia/WilmingtonDE) I was pleased with this set. The little washer and dryer have doors that open with a cylindrical hole behind them that clothing could be put into if a child wanted to. There's a broom and a place to hang the broom, there's a cord attaching the iron to the ironing board, like the electrical cord would, which also keeps it from getting lost, as well as a cord attached to the little detergent bottle (not as natural looking, but necessary to keep it from getting lost). The lift up door on the cabinet opens. The space inside isn't big enough for the grouping of shoes to fit into it though, so the shoes must go on the floor. The laundry basket is an excellent touch too. I liked that the ironing board could be up or down, saving space. A little girl or boy could really pretend to be doing laundry with these. It gives a dollhouse a realistic and functional touch. I think that these would stand up to hard play pretty well. I wish though, that some things had come with it to fit into the open shelving. Perhaps a hat, or gloves, or a single pair of shoes. They are empty shelves with nothing that fits in them (that comes in the package).
Great set June 29, 2009 Kimberly Baldwin (Pittsburgh, Pa) My two girls ages two and three loved this set. It is one of the first things the run to play with every morning! The dryers door keeps fallin off though, very annoying!
Another good room August 31, 2009 W. Johnson (The Mile High City) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I like the functionality and housework aspect of this room an dmy daughter has taken to pretending to do the laundry for the figures in the house. Though that said it is more of an apartment or European laundry than an American one. A house as big as The Loving Family's would have a proper side-by-side and not over-under washer and dryer. But it is very cute and I appreciate the idea.
