so much fun! September 2, 2008 Nicole Gillum (California) 21 out of 23 found this review helpful
I was so excited to get this game! I couldn't wait to see all the pieces! I'm a huge Beatles fan and this game was just so interesting because of it. I learned a bit about their older, UK albums, and that was neat. I think I might impose a house rule (that would totally be biased toward myself) that in order to buy a "property" (aka album) the player would have to sing a bit of a song from said "property"! It's just a thought! I love the game! Ooh, and there are of course rules for a quicker game too.
It's fab! August 21, 2008 macca the k (Toronto, Ontario) 19 out of 21 found this review helpful
I just picked up this new Beatles edition of Monopoly, and I have to say I'm most impressed! Album cover visuals include selections from both the British & American catalogues. There's even Beatles-related song titles like "I'll Keep You Satisfied" & "Come And Get It" thrown into the mix. As well, any board game that features a "Free As A Bird" card gets my vote! Very nice.

A must have for any real Beatles fan - a true Monopoly game, very smartly incorporated with Beatle-themed properties, cards, tokens and more. Monopoly players will enjoy this version, Beatle fans will love it. It's a greate game to Get Back to after a Hard Day's Night!

We've had a whole lot of fun with this game. I'm not usually a monopoly fan, but if it's Beatles themed, I have to have it! I love the pieces, especially the strawberry and walrus, and it's great seeing Beatles album covers all over the board. We picked up Nicole's suggestion from her review to sing a part of a song from the album whenever you want to buy a property -- and also whenever you have to pay rent on it. I highly recommend that rules modification and the game itself!
MONOPOLY + BEATLES = One After 909 January 15, 2009 Gwen~w1 (CT United States) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought the Beatles Monopoly game for my husband for Christmas. Funny thing was I ordered it and had it already wrapped when he saw it on the TV and said "wow that's really cool" - okay so we said our age :)
We have played this a few times - of course while playing Beatles Music. We made a new rule that if you own a property that has the song currently playing then you get an extra $1.00 from each player. We found that to be fun.
Once our teenage daughter (19) ended up having to mortgage most of her properties to pay her dad rent for landing on Apple Studios. She had to count up how much each mortgage was (compared to what she originally paid for it) in order to pay the rent. Confusion was all over her face and she said "That's not fair - I paid more for it!" Her dad said welcome to the real world. The light bulb went off in her head and she told us "Is this really like the real world." In a way yes it is. She didn't let it happen again.
BOTTOM LINE:
The Game is Awesome !!!
In its own way when children can understand it is also educational.
Must play the Beatles while playing the game as it is just meant to be.
We have had many, many hours of fun playing this as a family.
